FMH Bantams are a mix of true bantam breeds, including d’Uccle, Seabright and Dutch. Our FMH Bantam flock has a wide variety of colors, from black to orange to white to brown. From muffs and beards to booted legs to top hats, our FMH Bantams will not disappoint you! Our FMH Bantams are very friendly and have great temperaments as long as you visit and play with them. Our flock will eat out of our hands and gather all around our feet for treats. These cuties are also very durable, doing well in both hot and cold climates. FMH Bantams are great free rangers, strolling across our entire farm to find something to scratch in. They also are good about staying in woodland areas, so that hawks and such can’t attempt to snatch them up. As for egg laying, our bantams only lay white eggs. We would love to have a variety, but all colored bantam eggs come from bantam breeds that are not true. (True Bantams: a naturally small bird who has no larger version). FMH Bantams lay around 2 to 4 eggs per week, although it really depends on the hen and time of year. Although their eggs are smaller, Bantam eggs are just as delicious and nutritious as big chicken eggs. Plus, FMH Bantams are exclusive to our farm!
Below is our best approximate knowledge on our FMH Bantams. Although most of facts are more instoned, we are really not able to say if our FMH Bantam hens will be a setter or not. Some hens will be very inclined to set while others will be not interested at all. Our goal is for you to get a mix of both.
